2007
TDF flange roll‑forming
The TDF flange roll‑forming machine enters volume production, allowing rectangular duct contractors to eliminate angle‑iron flanges and cut field labour by roughly 40 percent per square metre.
-
2011
ISO 9001 & CE certification
SBKJ certifies its full production pipeline under ISO 9001 and obtains CE marking for auto duct lines, spiral machines and plasma cutters, unlocking volume exports to the EU and Middle East.
-
2015
SBAL auto duct line series
The SBAL auto duct production line debuts with CNC plasma cutting, automatic pittsburgh seaming and TDF flanging on a single servo‑driven platform — the flagship product SBKJ still ships in SBAL‑III, SBAL‑V and RDL‑II variants today.
-
2018
3,000th machine shipped
SBKJ reaches 3,000 cumulative installations across 60 countries, with flagship projects including metro stations in the Middle East, commercial towers in Southeast Asia and cleanroom factories in Eastern Europe.
-
2021
Australia office opens
SBKJ Group opens its Australia office in Box Hill North, Victoria, providing local sales, spare parts logistics and commissioning support for customers across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific.
-
2024
60+ patents and 5,000+ installations
SBKJ surpasses 60 invention and utility‑model patents covering flying‑shear spiral forming, TDF roll forming, auto‑line PLC integration, servo positioning and safety interlocks. Cumulative installations exceed 5,000 machines in 80+ countries.
Engineering team
Mechanical Engineers, Not Salespeople
When you email SBKJ, your reply comes from a mechanical engineer who has personally commissioned the line you are asking about. Our sales and technical functions sit inside the same engineering department.
Mechanical design (6 engineers)
Responsible for the geometry of every forming roll, bending die and spiral head — using SolidWorks, AutoCAD and in‑house sheet‑metal unfolding tools. They tune roll passes for specific material thicknesses from 0.5 mm galvanised steel up to 1.5 mm stainless.
- 30+ years of collective experience
- Authors of SBTF, SBAL and RDL geometry
- Material expertise: GI, SS304, aluminium, pre‑insulated panel
Electrical & PLC integration (4 engineers)
Design and program Siemens, Mitsubishi and Delta PLCs, servo drives and HMI panels. Responsible for all auto‑line sequencing, safety interlocks, production reporting and remote diagnostic links used on the SBAL and RDL series.
- Siemens S7 & Mitsubishi FX programming
- Servo motion control & CNC plasma integration
- Safety interlocks to EN ISO 13849 category 3
Field commissioning (5 engineers)
Travel worldwide to install, commission and train. They have personally installed SBKJ lines in more than 40 countries and speak directly with your maintenance team during startup and first‑article production.
- On‑site installation across 80+ countries
- Operator and maintenance training in English
- First‑article duct validation (SMACNA, EN 1505, AS/NZS 4254)
Certifications & standards
ISO 9001:2015, CE & 60+ Patents
Independent third‑party certification, documented factory testing and an active patent portfolio — the evidence behind every SBKJ quote.
ISO 9001:2015 quality management
SBKJ’s production pipeline is certified under ISO 9001:2015 for the design, manufacture and after‑sales service of HVAC ductwork machinery. The certification is maintained by annual surveillance audits of incoming inspection, assembly, final testing and traceability records.
CE marking (Machinery Directive)
Auto duct lines, spiral tubeformers, plasma cutters, TDF flange machines and lockformers are CE‑marked to the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, the EMC Directive 2014/30/EU and the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU. Each shipment includes the EC Declaration of Conformity and a full technical file.
60+ invention and utility patents
SBKJ holds over 60 Chinese invention and utility‑model patents across flying‑shear spiral forming, TDF roll‑form geometry, auto‑line servo positioning, pittsburgh seaming safety mechanisms and modular tooling. New applications are filed every year through the SBKJ R&D office.
Standards supported
Every SBKJ line is configured to produce duct that complies with the international fabrication standard you specify on your order.
- SMACNA HVAC Duct Construction Standards (USA & Middle East projects)
- EN 1505 / EN 1506 (European rectangular and circular duct)
- AS/NZS 4254.1 & 4254.2 (Australia and New Zealand flexible and rigid duct)
- DW/144 (United Kingdom HVAC duct specification)
- GB/T 17713 and JGJ 141 (China HVAC duct specifications)
Quality process
From Sheet Metal to Factory Acceptance Test
Every SBKJ machine goes through a documented five‑stage quality process before it leaves Jiangyin. Customers are welcome to attend the Factory Acceptance Test in person or via video call. The full procedure is documented on the quality control page, the workshop layout and assembly bay are described in detail on the factory capability page, HD demo footage of every machine plus a current factory walk-through is available on request through the machine video library, and the case studies library covers three real SBKJ installations in Vietnam, Saudi Arabia and Australia with before/after production numbers from the buyers themselves. If you’re comparing SBKJ against other HVAC duct machinery vendors, the why choose SBKJ page summarises the ten reasons buyers short-list SBKJ — plus the three scenarios where SBKJ is not the right choice. For transparent 2026 budget ranges, lead times, payment terms and a complete workshop budgeting framework, see the pricing and lead time buyer guide.
-
01
Incoming material inspection
Steel plate, servo motors, PLCs, bearings and hydraulic components are verified against the drawing and specification before being released to assembly. Traceability records are kept for the life of the machine.
-
02
Roll tooling geometry check
Forming rolls are measured on a CMM and checked against the SBKJ master drawing. The tolerance on the final roll diameter is within ±0.03 mm, which is what allows SBKJ spiral and TDF machines to run at production speed without seam defects.
-
03
Mechanical & electrical assembly
Assembly is performed by teams dedicated to a single machine family. Each assembler signs off the mechanical tolerances, wiring and safety interlocks. Torque values and wiring continuity are recorded on the build sheet.
-
04
No‑load and loaded run‑in
Machines run for 4–24 hours no‑load, then produce real duct on customer material. First‑article duct is measured against the project standard (SMACNA, EN 1505, AS/NZS 4254) and the result is signed by the QA engineer.
-
05
Factory Acceptance Test (FAT)
On request, SBKJ hosts the customer or their third‑party inspector for a live FAT. The machine is run through the full production cycle, safety interlocks are demonstrated and the test record is signed jointly before packing.
