Typical applications. Sheet metal forming and bending machines complete the cross-section of duct walls and fittings. Folding and bending equipment is needed for short-run rectangular duct, custom transitions, saddles and offsets that don't justify a full automatic line. Plate rolling is essential for round duct fittings and for any cylindrical industrial duct work. How it works. Forming and bending machines work the sheet metal into its final cross-section. Folding machines use a clamping beam and a swinging blade to bend the sheet to the programmed angle; rolling machines pass the sheet between three or four rolls to produce a continuous curve. Both operations can be programmed and repeated for batch production.

Where this fits in your workshop

Flexible duct machines run as a small dedicated cell, usually separate from the rigid-duct workshop because the products and the materials are fundamentally different. A typical flex cell has an aluminium-foil decoiler, the helical winder or sleeve forming station, an insulation wrapping station for insulated flex, an end-shrinking machine to prepare connection ends, and a packaging table. SBKJ can supply the cell as a turnkey package or as individual modules to drop into an existing flex line.
